
Blue Lotus Water Gardens in Yarra Junction Victoria is a 14 acre oasis with 3km of easy walking tracks, picnic areas, fairy garden, café and much more! The gardens are open from December to April to coincide with the flowering season.

The gardens contain many areas including Monet’s Lake, Louts Wetlands, Lotus Lake, and the Giant Amazon Waterlilies. There are smaller indoor buildings and pavilions with a range of flowers and plants to admire.
Children can enjoy the play area and fairy garden with various activities running during the open season (check the Facebook page for details)
Take the time to sit and relax in one of the many rotundas or bring a picnic lunch to enjoy.
The Blue Lotus Water Gardens also has a nursery shop where you can buy lotus flowers or a garden treasure to take home.

Or drive a little further and visit the Australian themed Cranbourne Botanic Gardens (around 1 hour) or the majestic Tarra Bulga National Park (2 hours).

Getting There
The gardens are located at 2628 Warburton HWY, Yarra Junction, Victoria 3797, Australia.
Easiest way to get to the gardens is via car and is around 1 hour from Melbourne.
If you need Public Transport from Melbourne then catch the train (Lilydale Line) from Flinders Street Station to Lilydale. Then catch the bus (683 Chirnside Park – Warburton) from Lilydale Station to Yarra Junction. The gardens website has details on the nearest stop to the water gardens. Note, the train also departs from other Melbourne CBD stations, check the timetable for details. The trip from Melbourne will take approximately 2 hours, but allow extra depending on the train times. Information on train and bus services can be found on the Public Transport Victoria website. This website can be hard to use if you don’t already know exactly what stations/stops you need so if needed just call them on 1800 800 007.
